By failing to control the Price Hikes, Hasina Government is now indulging in a “Game of Fire” and establishing its Illegitimate Authority over the People
When the life and livelihood of the people are disrupted due to the price hikes, the tragic fire incident in the capital’s Bailey Road has left the people shocked. In this case, 46 people including 5 members of the same family died initially, many burned victims are in critical condition in hospitals and some are still missing. Parents-children, teachers-politicians, students of country’s famous institutions Vikarunnessa Noon College and BUET were not spared from this fire. Previously, “Nimtali Fire Tragedy”, the terrible fires in Bangbazar market and in New Market – one of the biggest hawker markets in country – left the small businessmen destitute, and the experts repeatedly questioned the country’s fire-fighting capability against the much-publicized so-called development of the Hasina government. She did not move, rather she tried to use them as her political tools. Despite the severity of the incident of this time, Sheikh Hasina gave statement a few days after the fire and blamed the people instead taking responsibility for her government’s failure, and expressed her anger over the lack of a ‘fire exit’ in the building. People’s question, if the lack of ‘fire exit’ is the main cause of casualties, then whose failure is this? BBC Bangla’s news caption on this was, “Who will ensure fire safety?” Sheikh Hasina blamed the people, saying, “We have provided fire extinguishers, yet people are not so aware“. By neglecting the responsibility of the victims, she opined, “Apparently there was no insurance. So you won’t get anything in return”. However, people suspect that the notorious bank robber S. Alam Group, blessed by the government, is staging a fire in sugar warehouses to loot money from insurance companies and holding people hostage on the occasion of holy Ramadan to rob people’s hard earning money by indulging in the sugar price hike. Hasina government has been raiding and closing restaurants arbitrarily without taking action against its corrupt institutions Rajuk and City Corporation. Many restaurant owners and employees are fleeing from the restaurants for fear of arrest, the livelihood of millions of small businessmen and laborers are under threat. Thus she is trying to establish the illegal authority of her government by using fire as a tool to create panic and fear among the people.
O People! We are witnessing that many of you are expressing frustration that although being vocal against Hasina government’s irresponsibility and tyranny but you are not seeing any remedy. Remember that, this tyrannical regime also wants you to keep quiet, but if you don’t speak up, its oppression will increase, because the tyranny of tyrants has no boundaries. Our beloved Prophet ﷺ told us to always be loud against the oppressors, “The greatest Jihad is Speaking the truth against the oppressors” (Musnad Ahmad). And he ﷺ assured us about the end of these oppressive rulers, “Allah gives respite to the oppressors (upto a certain period), then when He seizes them, He does not give any more respite” (Muslim).
O People! This secular ruling group don’t do politics to look after the people. You have seen, the BNP group don’t take any effective political program except “lip service” on the issue of the people, whatever they do is only for the release of Khaleda zia or for the Power. You see, when the people of the whole country are in turmoil over the price hike, their leaders are looking for a political compromise mediated by the crusader Americans who support Israel and travel to Singapore to negotiate. Therefore, you must reject this secular ruling group and handover the power to the real guardians and responsible rulers. The Prophet ﷺ said, “The Imam (Caliph) is the guardian and he is responsible for his citizens” (Bukhari/Muslim). You must unite with the dedicated leadership of Hizb ut Tahrir in re-establishing the “Khilafah”, an authority responsible for you and caring for you.
﴿قَالَ لَهُ صَاحِبُهُ وَهُوَ يُحَاوِرُهُ أَكَفَرْتَ بِالَّذِي خَلَقَكَ مِنْ تُرَابٍ ثُمَّ مِنْ نُطْفَةٍ ثُمَّ سَوَّاكَ رَجُلاً ﴾
“Indeed in that is a reminder for whoever has a heart or who listens while he is present [in mind]” [Surat Qaf: 37].
