Interim Government of Bangladesh Must Warn India about her Impudence towards the People of Bangladesh
During his three-day visit to the United States, India’s top opposition (Congress Party) leader, Rahul Gandhi has commented at the National Press Club in Washington DC on Wednesday that India is concerned about the rise of “extremism” and “violence” in Bangladesh. Rahul also said that his party is in alignment with Narendra Modi’s BJP government on key foreign policy issues, including concerns over “extremism” in Bangladesh. Even after Bangladesh government’s interim head Muhammad Yunus’s assertion to the Indian Prime Minister Modi that the reports of violence on minorities were exaggerated and also his invitation of the Indian journalists to visit Bangladesh to verify the claim, such baseless allegations are still coming from the rulers and leaders of our enemy neighbor and their local agents in Bangladesh to malign our image.
We Hizb ut Tahrir / Wilayah Banglades urge the interim government to take an assertive stance against India’s impudence towards Bangladesh and its student-led revolution. It wants to prove a correlation between Hasina’s absence and the rise of ‘extremism’. How dare these lowlife rulers point fingers at Bangladesh right now to undermine the struggle and sacrifices of the oppressed and liberation-seeking people against Hasina’s tyranny! The collapse of Hasina’s despotism was a disaster for India as they are the one who were actively intervening in our affairs during the last fifteen years to keep Hasina in power. Now, when the people of Bangladesh eventually foiled the Indian agenda and overthrew her, India is reiterating the same old narrative of Hasina that Hindu minorities are under existential threat without her government. And this archenemy does not want to hide behind any lies and deception anymore. On the one hand, India is openly showing its animosity towards the people of Bangladesh by giving asylum to this tyrant who ordered the onslaught of violence and bullets on the protesters, leaving hundreds dead and thousands injured. On the other hand, this country is now trying to slander the people of Bangladesh by portraying them as potential threats to India and the Hindu minorities in Bangladesh. We, therefore, call upon the interim government to warn India about its false arrogance and remind them that their lackeys are not in power anymore. We sincerely urge you to remain unified against India’s conspiracy by bringing all the anti-Indian forces and political parties together so that India cannot dare to interfere in our internal affairs anymore. To solidify our stance, Hizb ut Tahrir is ready to assist in formulating a highly effective foreign policy, which will reflect the interests, values and aspirations of the people of Bangladesh to confront India.
